EcoFlow and Jackery make the two names most shoppers type first, and their 1kWh models land close on capacity. The EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus holds 1,024Wh and the Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 holds 1,070Wh. The differences show up in output, charging, expansion and weight, and those decide which one belongs in your closet.

Capacity and battery life
Jackery’s pack holds 46Wh more, a gap of about 4%. You will not notice it in an outage. Cycle ratings differ in how the makers state them: EcoFlow rates 4,000 cycles to 80% capacity and Jackery rates 4,000 cycles to 70%. Taken at face value, EcoFlow promises more capacity left after the same number of cycles.
Output: what each can run
The DELTA 3 Plus outputs 1,800W continuous with a 3,600W surge, and EcoFlow’s X-Boost mode lets resistive loads up to 2,200W run at reduced power. The Explorer 1000 v2 outputs 1,500W with a 3,000W surge. Both will start a typical kitchen fridge. The extra 300W on the EcoFlow gives you room for a microwave or a small space heater on low alongside the fridge.
Outlet count matters more than people expect during an outage. EcoFlow gives you six AC outlets; Jackery gives you three, so you will reach for a power strip sooner.
Charging: wall, solar and car
- Wall: EcoFlow quotes 0 to 100% in 56 minutes at 1,500W. Jackery’s US support page lists about 1.7 hours.
- Solar: EcoFlow takes two 500W inputs (1,000W total). Jackery takes two 200W inputs (400W total). On a short winter day that gap decides whether you refill fully.
- Car: EcoFlow lists 800W car charging with its Alternator Charger accessory, a full charge in about 1.3 hours. Jackery lists about 12 hours from a 12V car socket.
Backup features
EcoFlow lists a UPS switchover under 10 ms. Jackery lists under 20 ms and warns against using it for devices that need a true zero-interruption UPS, like servers. For a CPAP, router or desktop PC, check how long an interruption your device can tolerate before you rely on either one.
Expansion
This is the biggest split. The DELTA 3 Plus accepts the DELTA 3, DELTA 2, DELTA 2 Max and DELTA Pro 3 extra batteries and reaches 5kWh. The Explorer 1000 v2 has no expansion port. If you think you will want 2kWh or more later, Jackery’s answer is a different model: the Explorer 2000 Plus, a 2,042.8Wh unit that weighs 61.5 lb and accepts Battery Pack 2000 Plus add-ons.
Weight and noise
At about 23.8 lb, the Jackery is the easier carry. The EcoFlow weighs 27.6 lb. Jackery lists its fan at 22 dB or less. EcoFlow lists under 30 dB below 600W and under 40 dB at 1,200W. If the unit will sit in a bedroom during an outage, that matters.
